Sessional Lecturer, INF
2127H - Collection, Development, Evaluation and Management at the University of Toronto, Faculty of Information. Summer Term 2026 – Session Y (May – August).
- Preparing course materials; delivering course content (e.g., seminars, lectures, and labs); developing and administering course assignments, tests & exams; grading.
- Holding regular office hours.

Description:
An overview of the theories and methods of collection development within libraries and the publishing industry, including policy formulation, acquisitions, budgeting, evaluation techniques, liaison activities, withdrawal of materials, and collaborations. - Estimate of course enrolment: 35
- Estimate of TA Support:
None anticipated; 75 hours with enrollment of 36 or greater. TA hours allocation based on enrolment. - Class

- Sessional Lecturer III: $11,713
- Sessional Lecturer III Long Term: $11,986
- Note:
If rates in the collective agreement differ from the posting, rates under the collective agreement prevail.
- Preferably a completed or near-completed PhD in a related area, or a Master’s degree with extensive professional experience related to the course.
