Shipping Receiving Clerk

We are conducting an internal/external search for a Shipping / Receiving Clerkon 1 st shift for our Marathon City operations. Hours vary 5:00 am – 5:00p.m.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Report to the Warehouse Clerk Lead
• Learn the functions of the Warehouse Clerk Lead
• Assume the role of Warehouse Clerk Lead Back-up during Warehouse Clerk Lead absences
• Organize loads to pre-stage and organize loads to ship
• Organize inbound/outbound loads for other MCC locations (transfers)
• Daily use of SAP (Data entry)
• Daily use of Microsoft (Word, Excel)
• Sign drivers in/out. Make appointment with carriers (DAS)
• Compare order confirmations to shipping documents
• Responsible for record keeping and accurately completing paperwork
• Perform other duties as assigned by a Lead or Supervisor
• Willing to assist with training for the position when needed
• Order and reconciliation of pallets
• Review all paperwork for accuracy of documentation for audit purposes

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, or schedule form
• Very good interpersonal, organizational and written skills along with strong math skills
• Detail oriented with the ability to multitask
• Prior shipping/receiving experience a plus
• Read and understand freight list, bill of lading, warehouse/office terminology & abbreviations
• Ability to problem solve
• Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, other departments within the organization and the public both in person, by email and over the telephone
• Must be dependable and have a certain degree of flexibility to work overtime and Saturday shifts when needed, and back-up other positions as required
