Family Nurse Practitioner – Locum Workweek

Two part-time locum Nurse Practitioner (FNP) opportunities are available within the Wisconsin correctional system
, offering a consistent weekday schedule with no call, no weekends, and no holidays
. This role focuses on delivering primary care services to adult patients in a structured, team-based correctional healthcare environment.

Providers manage routine and chronic care needs, averaging 10–12 patients per day
, with strong extension potential beyond the initial 26-week contract.

• Deliver comprehensive primary care in a correctional setting
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions
• Prescribe medications and manage treatment plans
• Document encounters accurately in EMR
• Collaborate with facility medical staff
• Maintain compliance with state and DOC regulations

• Active Wisconsin NP license with prescriptive authority
• 2+ years primary care experience (correctional a plus)
• Willing to complete required DOC onboarding

• $75–$80 per hour
• Up to 24–26 hours per week
• Three 8-hour weekday shifts (8:00 AM–4:30 PM)
• 26-week contract with extension potential
