Trailer Service Technician

Spee Dee Delivery is a family owned and operated company that was started in 1978 by Donald and Sylvia Weeres. Our core business is in standard, next‑day, ground delivery. The corporate headquarters and main sort facility is located in St. Cloud, MN. We currently employ over 1,800 employees company wide and have expanded throughout the Midwest.

The Trailer Service Technician will service and maintain our fleet trailers that are operated on a daily basis.

• Monday‑Friday, 8:00 AM‑4:30 PM
• 10‑15 hours of overtime expected each week
• Paid OT at time and a half after 40 hours per week
• $20.00‑$33.00 per hour, based on experience

• Inspect trailers for compliance
• Service ABS brakes
• Knowledge of drum and disc brake systems is preferred
• Knowledge of trailer wiring, lighting, greasing, brakes, and lift gate is preferred
• General maintenance on fleet trailers
• Perform other related duties as assigned

• Welding and torch experience is a plus but not required
• Ability to operate a manual transmission vehicle or be willing to learn

• At least 18 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• 2 years technical instruction in diesel or auto mechanics is preferred
• Must hold a valid CDL Class A driver's license or be willing to successfully complete Company paid CDL training program

• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
• Ability to pass a DOT physical exam
• Must be able to spend a minimum of eight hours on feet
• Work environment involves ability to bend, kneel, crouch, walk, and drive
• May involve hazards such as diesel exhaust, brake dust, grease, antifreeze, and other vehicle repair elements
