Operates company vehicles and provides courteous and efficient delivery and pick up of packages; checks shipments for conformance to Fed Ex service features; provides coverage for all assigned routes within the station's service area; performs related customer service functions; and performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum EducationHigh School Diploma/G.E.D. Must obtain and maintain a valid driver's license in accordance with state requirements for the type of vehicle assigned and have a good driving record as outlined in policy.
Minimum ExperienceSix (6) months of courier experience preferred.
Knowledge,Skills and Abilities
Good human relations and verbal communication skills; thorough knowledge of the station's service area preferred; demonstrated skills in adaptability, dependability, and excellent courier methods; ability to lift 50 lbs.; ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person; at least 21 years of age; ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials, and respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.

Neat appearance is required for customer contact; must meet and maintain qualifications outlined in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety regulations; note that there are specific requirements for any employee that operates a company vehicle (refer to policy 4-48 for exact requirements); non-covered safety‑sensitive position; ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
Preferred QualificationsPay: $22.30 / hr; variable shifts between Monday – Saturday, 7:45 am – 7:00 pm.
