Expeditor, Restaurant​/Food Service

Job Summary

The restaurant Expeditor ensures quality and proper presentation of food in a timely manner; food orders are prepared and assembled quickly according to recipes and procedures to avoid waste; the line is always stocked, neat, clean and safe.

• Timeliness – ensures kitchen orders are prepared in a timely manner and sent out together by directing servers and/or food runners to deliver and complete the orders.
• Pace – brisk and steady, organized, no unnecessary steps.
• Recipe adherence – ensures proper presentation of each plate and the appropriate temperature.
• Cleanliness – maintain the kitchen and all of its equipment to a “like new” condition. Practice clean as you go.
• Productivity – measured by quality and quantity of work in a specific time period.
• Organization skills are a must.
• Think ahead – stock supplies before the rush.

• 2 years of work or related experience preferred.
