Senior Nutrition – Floating Head Cook​/Assistant Program Manager

Senior Nutrition is hiring a full-time Floating Cook / Program Assistant for our eleven-county service area—4o hours/week, Monday – Friday. No nights, weekends or holidays.

11-County Service Area

High school diploma or GED, Serv Safe certification, and one year of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Semcac Senior Nutrition provides a home-cooked, noon meal Monday through Friday. These meals are served at our Congregate dining sites and to numerous communities through Meals on Wheels.

The primary responsibility of this position would be to support our kitchen operations across the service area. The position would be in the office at the closest Semcac location, and an agency vehicle would be provided, as travel to sites will be required.

• Supporting all of our seven kitchens and 40 sites across our 11-county service area.
• Assisting the Program Manager/Coordinator with Hiring, Training, and Development.
• Support and coverage at kitchens for vacations, illness, leave of absence, and turnover.
• Ensuring menu compliance for Older Americans Act programs, Head Start programs, and other contracts.
• Training and onsite support for Microsoft Office and other web-based programs.
• Support and training on online ordering and inventory.
• Support for sites and food deliverers as needed.
• Various other duties as assigned.
