HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT
The Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) is responsible for prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of mental disorders of clients in an outpatient setting through interview, assessment, observation, and screening tools. The PMHNP works in collaboration with agency mental health professionals, clinicians, case managers, and nurses. This position reports to the Director of Nursing.
• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and follow-up evaluation and management (E&M) visits.
• Follows agency guidelines for length and number of client visits
• Prescribes, directs, and administers psycho-therapeutic treatments of medications to treat mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders
• Respond appropriately to psychiatric crisis situations.
• Orders, conducts, or examines laboratory or diagnostic tests on patients to provide information on general physical condition and mental disorder gathers and maintain patient information and records, including social and medical history obtained from patients, relatives, and other professionals
Provide consultation services:
• Provide psychiatric services within a person-centered and trauma informed framework.
• Responsible for care coordination, whether it involves coordination within CMMHC's programs or with another entity identified in the Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) statutory language related to care coordination.
Requirements
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- Completion of Graduate level Advance Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) program with a focus in Psychiatric and Mental Health
- Maintain appropriate licensure, including completing continuing education licensing requirements
- Clear DHS background study.
- Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record.
- 3 years' community mental health experience preferred.
- Target Range - $130,311 - $153,306 (compensation commensurate with experience and education)
- Full Time - Hours 8:00 am - 4:00 pm M-Th & 7:30 am - 12:00 pm on Friday
