As a Lab Technician, you work with an impactful team that plays a vital role in quality assurance, production and manufacturing. You will showcase your skills and experience in the Vision Care space, providing quality products for millions of people across the world.
Responsibilities- Qualifies and inspects products to ensure compliance with CZV specifications and standards.
- Maintains appropriate written and/or computer documentation.
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
- Works within a specific area and may be cross-trained to work in other areas.
- Works in different workstations or product lines as production needs require.
- Participates in meetings to enhance departmental communication and efficiency.
- Trains peers.
- Required:
High School Diploma / GED / Equivalent Experience - Required:
2-3 years related experience - Preferred: 1 year Optical Manufacturing experience
- Ability to follow safety guidelines and identify safety items
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-task production environment
- Exceptional attendance record
- Honest, dependable and able to follow directions in written or verbal form
- Professional demeanor with a positive attitude
- Patience to complete tasks thoroughly
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a team setting or independently, as needed

- Ability to read English and identify numbers
- Good verbal and written communication with clear, concise interaction with associates
- Flexible schedule with the ability to work overtime when needed
- May require vision and/or color hue recognition testing (required for tinters)
- General office/computer experience
- Basic knowledge of frames and lenses
- Manufacturing skill set
- Ability to focus for long periods of time
- Attention to detail and symmetry
- Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods
- Ability to perform repetitive movements with upper and lower extremities
- Good hand/eye/foot coordination and visual concentration
- Dexterity and mechanical skills
- Must be able to regularly lift 10 pounds; able to lift 30 pounds in Surfacing
- Ability to extract up to 20 PSI with hands
- Ability to use personal protective equipment

The hourly pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00. This pay may be influenced by location, scope, qualifications, education, experience, and role complexity. This position is eligible for a Performance Bonus. ZEISS offers robust benefits, including medical plans, retirement savings, and paid time off.
