As a Lab Technician, you work with an impactful team that plays a vital role in quality assurance, production and manufacturing. You will showcase your skills and experience in the Vision Care space, providing quality products for millions of people across the world.

• Qualifies and inspects products to ensure compliance with CZV specifications and standards.
• Maintains appropriate written and/or computer documentation.
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
• Works within a specific area and may be cross-trained to work in other areas.
• Works in different workstations or product lines as production needs require.
• Participates in meetings to enhance departmental communication and efficiency.
• Trains peers.

• Required:
  
  High School Diploma / GED / Equivalent Experience
• Required:
  
  2-3 years related experience
• Preferred: 1 year Optical Manufacturing experience
• Ability to follow safety guidelines and identify safety items
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-task production environment
• Exceptional attendance record
• Honest, dependable and able to follow directions in written or verbal form
• Professional demeanor with a positive attitude
• Patience to complete tasks thoroughly
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a team setting or independently, as needed

• Ability to read English and identify numbers

• Flexible schedule with the ability to work overtime when needed
• May require vision and/or color hue recognition testing (required for tinters)
• General office/computer experience
• Basic knowledge of frames and lenses
• Manufacturing skill set

• Ability to focus for long periods of time
• Attention to detail and symmetry
• Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods
• Ability to perform repetitive movements with upper and lower extremities
• Good hand/eye/foot coordination and visual concentration
• Dexterity and mechanical skills
• Must be able to regularly lift 10 pounds; able to lift 30 pounds in Surfacing
• Ability to extract up to 20 PSI with hands
• Ability to use personal protective equipment

The hourly pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00. This pay may be influenced by location, scope, qualifications, education, experience, and role complexity. This position is eligible for a Performance Bonus. ZEISS offers robust benefits, including medical plans, retirement savings, and paid time off.
