Job Summary
- The Night Auditor’s primary responsibility is to audit all house and guest accounts to ensure they balance.
- Prepares final reports for management and acts as third shift Front Desk Associate, providing professional and courteous guest service.

Essential Functions
Assist all guests in a professional and courteous manner.Perform job duties and responsibilities in a cost‑effective manner and within budgetary guidelines.Verify that all charges to guest accounts made during the day are correct, and post room charges so that all guest accounts are current and in balance by 6:00 am the following morning.Complete all credit‑card transmittals, direct bills, and no‑show billings for the day.Prepare all daily, monthly, and yearly reports required by the property.Set up and stock the breakfast area if required.Act as the manager on duty in the absence of the General Manager and/or Guest Service Manager.Greet guests and process hotel registration and other transactions promptly while maintaining confidentiality of all guest information.Stay current on hotel accommodations, services, and local attractions so guests can be effectively assisted.Perform all guest accounting functions according to established hotel operating procedures to ensure all guest and house accounts are complete and accurate.Adhere to all established credit and inventory‑control procedures to minimize exposure to loss of revenue.Demonstrate the use of sales techniques to effectively sell the property, maximizing occupancy and average rate.Professionally and competently operate the telephone system according to brand standards while using proper etiquette and appropriate greetings.Receive and process telephone and walk‑in reservations accurately.Monitor the printer and fax machine to ensure prompt attention is given to documents received.Conduct regular inspections of the front desk and public space and take immediate action to correct any issues.Maintain the cleanliness of the lobby area and perform laundry duties as needed.Remove snow from the hotel main entrance and sidewalks as needed.Understand and apply all hotel safety and security procedures as required to maintain a safe and secure environment for employees and guests.Keep supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance coming to your attention so that prompt corrective action can be taken.Perform all other duties as assigned.Other Considerations

Physical Demands Analysis
The Night Auditor works primarily indoors in a temperature‑controlled environment. This position requires frequent sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, bending, and reaching throughout the entire shift. Hazards may include, but are not limited to, slipping and tripping, exposure to variable temperatures, weather elements, computer terminals, and standard cleaning chemicals.

Total Rewards – This position offers an estimated compensation of at least $17 per hour. The role features a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends. Benefits include Minnesota Earned Sick and Safe Time (MN ESST) and 401(k) opportunities upon meeting eligibility criteria.
