Position Summary/Objective
The Strategic Pricing Analyst is primarily responsible for conducting negotiations with vendors and making decisions and recommendations regarding pricing.
Essential Functions- Conduct vendor negotiations to drive best in class commercial and contractual terms in conjunction with business stakeholders.
- Conduct assessments of processes and make recommendations regarding process improvements to gain efficiencies and/or better utilize existing pricing programs.
- Process HPI requests, Canon CSMP claims, Konica Alliance backups, and Sharp MAP/NJPA documentation.
- Maintain and update current HPI contracts.
- Track and follow up on expiration dates of all special pricing from manufacturers.
- Complete updates to workbooks as new models are introduced and CSMP SOW monthly.
- Maintain logs of activity in tracking workbook.
- Accurately maintain and comply with documentation and administrative procedures in a timely basis to include time entry process.
- Attend Required Company And Departmental Meetings.
- Act in accordance with Marco policies and procedures as set forth in the Employee Handbook.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
- An associate degree and two years of relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Prior sales experience preferred.
- Negotiation skills.
- Extensive knowledge of business collaboration tools including MS Office applications, including a high proficiency with Excel, Outlook, vendor software, and company specific programs.
- Good verbal communication skills with internal and external clients.
- Ability to prioritize responsibilities and operate with changing priorities.
- Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; gather and analyze information skillfully; work well in group problem solving situations.
- Demonstrate accuracy, organization, and thoroughness; look for ways to improve and promote quality; apply feedback to improve performance; monitor own work to ensure quality.
- Function collaboratively as part of a client‑oriented team.
- Self‑starter with the ability to perform with little or no direct supervision.
- Strong ability to exercise independent judgment.
