Free Star Financial Credit Union is looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic Vault Teller for our St. Clair Shores Branch. If you would love to use your customer service skills for a growing credit union, this may be the right job for you!

Salary: $18/Hour

Job Location: St. Clair Shores

Days: Mon-Fri (Rotating Saturdays)

Hours: 8:30-5:15

Benefits:

Position Purpose

The primary purpose of a Vault Teller is assist Free Star Financial Credit Union in fulfilling our mission by identifying member needs and providing service excellence. As well as maintaining accuracy of the vault and all cash items.

What You'll Do In This Role
  • Provide efficient and accurate service in transactions which include check cashing, deposits, withdrawals or transfers through the lobby/drive-thru and over the phone.
  • Provide members with account status as requested.
  • Balance the vault on a daily basis the assigned cash drawer including all negotiable instruments.
  • Meet member needs by cross-selling all products and services offered by the credit union.
  • Process night deposit and ATM transactions.
  • Complete CTR and SAR Reports as necessary.
  • Place weekly cash orders timely. Accept and verify incoming and outgoing cash from the Federal Reserve.
  • Ensure night deposits are retrieved and logged no later than 9:00 a.m. each day.
  • Balance vault daily.
  • Ensure checks are forwarded to the Accounting Department weekly.
  • Perform audits on ATM, key log and stamps monthly.
  • Ensure the teller line is adequately stocked with all necessary supplies.
  • Assist the Member Access Center as needed.
What You'll Bring To Free Star Financial
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 2 years similar or related experience in the financial industry preferred.
  • Preferred knowledge of various federal regulations and the responsibilities relating to each act of the following:
  • Right to Financial Privacy Act
  • Regulation E (EFTS)
  • Regulation CC (Funds Availability)
  • Regulation Z (Truth in Lending)
  • Truth in Savings Act
  • Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)
