Hours can range from 4:30 am to 10:30 pm; based on union bid.

Job Summary p>Fleet Mechanics perform mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance on company fleet vehicles according to DOT and OSHA regulations, with a specific focus on medium and heavy duty, diesel tractor and trailer maintenance and repair.

Job Responsibilities ul> li>Troubleshoot, diagnose, and complete repairs on all types of vehicles.
li>Perform preventative maintenance within fleet department. li>Respond to service calls as required. li>Creates work orders in SAP and ensures working times and tasks are logged into computer as well as stock parts pulled from inventory. li>Maintain tools and cleanup work area before end of shift. li>Participate in and adhere to the required safety training. li>Supports departments by communicating out of service vehicles and down times.
/ul> Job Requirements ul> li>High School Diploma or GED required. li>Minimum of two years of work experience required. li>Previous experience as a mechanic with diesel tractor and trailer equipment preferred. li>Experience repairing and diagnosing gasoline or diesel engines, automotive electrical systems and material handling equipment preferred. li>Knowledge of airbrake and electrical systems and components preferred. li>Demonstrated mechanical and technical aptitude.
li>ASE certification preferred. li>Valid CDL Class A Driver's License preferred. li>May be required to supply automotive hand tools. li>Prior experience using pallet jack or forklift preferred. Ability to obtain PIT (Powered Industrial Truck) certification upon hire is required. /ul> Physical Requirements ul> li>Speaking:
