As a Walmart Low‑Voltage Technician, you will be responsible for assisting in the operation of multiple facilities by setting up and configuring various low‑voltage systems (for example, security systems, fire alarms, CCTV, audio/video systems, and network cabling).

Mon‑Fri 8:00‑17:00 (OT as needed)

Essential Functions
  • Sets up and configures various low‑voltage systems (e.g., security systems, fire alarms, CCTV, audio/video systems, network cabling).
  • Runs, terminates, and labels cables according to project requirements and industry standards.
  • Performs regular maintenance checks to ensure system functionality and reliability; identifies and resolves issues promptly to minimize downtimes.
  • Provides technical support and training to end users on operation and maintenance of low‑voltage systems; addresses customer inquiries professionally and efficiently.
  • Ensures all installations and repairs adhere to local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Follows all safety guidelines to prevent accidents and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Maintains accurate and detailed records of installations, maintenance, and repairs; generates reports on system performance, issues resolved, and maintenance activities.
  • Evaluates existing systems to determine if upgrades or enhancements are needed; performs system upgrades to improve performance or comply with new standards.
  • Works closely with other technicians, engineers, and project managers to ensure successful project completion.
  • Communicates effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide appropriate solutions; stays abreast of the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
  • Leads and participates in teams by sharing resources, information, and tools; determines customer needs and business priorities; coordinates and executes work assignments; provides advice, feedback, and support to ensure timelines and quality are achieved.
  • Develops, communicates, and implements processes and practices to meet business needs by collaborating with managers, co‑workers, customers, and other partners; analyzes and applies information from multiple sources; monitors progress and results; identifies and addresses improvement opportunities.
  • Demonstrates, promotes, and supports compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by explaining, guiding, and demonstrating how to apply these in executing business processes and practices; implements related action plans; utilizes the Open Door Policy; and assists management with correcting ethical and compliance issues.
