Controller, Finance & Banking, Accounting Manager

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Controller in Saint Charles, MO.

Summary:

Our client is a well-established manufacturing company seeking a Controller to serve as the senior finance and accounting leader. This is a highly hands-on role ideal for a well-rounded accounting professional who is comfortable managing day-to-day accounting operations while also providing strategic financial oversight. The role may include supervision of one accounting staff member. The client offers a salary and benefits package, insurance plans, PTO, 401(k) plan and other company perks.

The position will be functioning as on-site in the Saint Charles, MO area.

Duties:

* Controller will lead all accounting and financial activities in accordance with GAAP

* Prepare and oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

* Manage cost accounting, inventory valuation, and manufacturing financial controls

* Own budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning

* Ensure compliance with tax, regulatory, and reporting requirements

* As a Controller, you will provide financial insight and decision support to ownership

* Drive process improvement, internal controls, and reporting enhancements

* Serve as the financial systems lead
* Minimum of 7+ years of progressive, hands-on accounting experience

* Demonstrated experience with cost accounting and inventory-heavy environments

* Broad, well-rounded accounting background with strong technical knowledge

* Systems-savvy mindset with a continuous improvement orientation

* Ability to thrive in a small, collaborative, and highly accountable environment

* CPA preferred

* Manufacturing industry experience strongly preferred
