Experienced quality engineer with an emphasis in manufacturing processes – particularly aerospace machining and associated processes. Responsible for assuring that quality requirements are flowed down from customer purchase orders, blueprints, 3D models and technical specifications to job travelers and related work instructions. Implements root‑cause and corrective actions on nonconforming material. Full‑time, hourly, day‑shift position.
Responsibilities- Identify new and unique quality processes or inspection techniques and prepare inspection and test instructions for the inspections
- Interpret blueprints and technical specifications
- Review job travelers or work instructions to assure flow down of quality requirements
- Analyze areas of quality cost and implement root‑cause corrective action for overall reduction in quality cost
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of statistical process control techniques
- Technical degree in engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing or Quality) or 5 years’ experience as a Quality Engineer
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer is a plus
- Proficiency with 3D CAD software (NX and CATIA experience is a plus)
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Word with efficient keyboarding skills
- Applicant must be a U.S. Person
- Experience in aerospace industry is a plus
- Knowledgeable and experienced in manufacturing processes
- Strong work ethic
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work with others in a team environment and be highly self‑motivated
- Forward‑thinking mindset, thrives on a challenge, and can think “outside the box”
May be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the appropriate level. Requires U.S. Citizenship. Must also be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information; having dual citizenship may preclude the ability to meet this requirement.
