Position Introduction/Key Duties
Cimarron is seeking Lead Mission Systems Integration Engineers to support an advanced aerospace development effort for the Phantom Works program in St. Charles, MO. This innovative program focuses on next‑generation technologies for defense and flight systems.
Key Duties- Lead system‑of‑systems capability design and integration activities from concept through verification.
- Develop and maintain capability roadmaps aligned with program and customer objectives.
- Serve as the lead integrator for complex capabilities involving multiple systems and subsystems.
- Lead development of requirements and verification plans to ensure system capabilities meet performance objectives.
- Collaborate with customers to define and document system design requirements.
- Lead capability integration teams across software, hardware, and test disciplines to deliver capabilities to the customer.
- Analyze and translate customer requirements into detailed system, hardware, and software designs.
- Define logical and software interfaces to ensure platform compatibility and interoperability across subsystems.
- Research and assess emerging technologies for potential application to current and future system capabilities.
- Apply Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methods for hardware, software, and performance model development, as well as for requirements definition, interface design, and traceability.
- Support hardware and software development, integration, test, and validation/verification activities.
- Test and validate system functionality and performance to ensure compliance with operational and functional requirements.
- Support prototype hardware and software evaluation, laboratory integration, analysis, and testing.
- Due to facility security requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for consideration at this time.
- Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance in a reasonable timeframe.
- Ability to obtain Special Program Access or other government access requirements, if needed.
- 20 or more years of related experience.
- Knowledge and experience in related engineering disciplines sufficient to support integration within complex design activities.
- Experience using Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) modeling tools such as Cameo, Magic Draw, or similar.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or a non‑US equivalent.
- Active Secret Clearance (or higher).
- Experience designing functionality and requirements for navigation, communication, or processing subsystems.
