Eligible for emergency telework: With Supervisor approval
Purpose: School psychologist interns assist supervisors with all duties under direct training and supervision. These duties include, but are not limited to, conducting multidisciplinary evaluations for special education eligibility, offering consultation to teachers and staff, conducting functional behavioral assessments, assisting with creating behavior intervention plans, leading teams in data‑based decision making, and providing guidance when building leaders express interest in systemic initiatives.
Supervision is provided by specialist level school psychologists and is tailored to individual needs and program requirements.
- Attend work in a regular, reliable and punctual manner.
- To “telework” when requested by the District.
- Follow all policies and procedures of the school district.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to properly identify students with disabilities and monitor compliance with state and federal requirements.
- Provide consultation and problem‑solving on an as‑needed basis for all students in assigned school buildings; collect and analyze data regarding students, classes, and buildings.
- Conduct functional behavior assessments for special education students, assist with the creation of behavior intervention plans, and provide individual/group counseling and social skills as needed for students with disabilities to access the general education curriculum.
- Participate in professional growth activities and demonstrate a sense of professional responsibility.
- Perform other duties as necessary to support the mission and vision of the St. Joseph school district.
