Accounting Assistant
SCI Engineering is a multi-discipline firm offering a variety of services from the design development stage through construction. We specialize in Geotechnical, Environmental, Natural Resources, Cultural Resources and Construction Material Testing services.
This position is responsible for assisting with accounts payable, invoicing, general ledger review, fleet management coordination and other miscellaneous activities related to accounting. The accounting intern will analyze financial information and assist with financial reports. This position is temporary with the opportunity to become full time.

- Work with to Project Accountants in billing function.
- Involved in the accounts payable process.
- Involved in the employee reimbursements and credit card statement reconciliation.
- Review indirect expenses.
- Reconcile bank statements.
- Assist with accounting automation projects.
- Reconcile Company credit card statements and ensure all receipts are recoded in accordance with departmental procedures and FAR guidelines.
- Track vehicle usage in accordance in accordance with departmental procedures and FAR guidelines.
- Assist with managing fleet vehicles.
- Support period-end close process.
- Create weekly & monthly reports for Project Mangers.
- Be able to conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions.
- Thorough knowledge of general accounting including the application of general accounting theory.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint software programs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Management.
