- Proficiency in MRP planning, inventory management, supplier selection/development, and price negotiation.
The Buyer supports production and operational needs by sourcing materials, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring cost-effective, timely procurement. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Candidates must be proficient in MRP planning, inventory management, supplier selection and development, and price negotiation.
Job Responsibilities:- Source and purchase materials, supplies, and services to support production needs.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure quality and on-time delivery.
- Review pricing, perform basic cost analysis, and identify savings opportunities.
- Partner with inventory and production teams to maintain proper stock levels and prevent shortages.
- Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, contracts, and supplier performance.
- Follow company policies and industry standards for ethical and compliant purchasing.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of buying or supply planning experience.
- Manufacturing industry experience required.
- Basic knowledge of ERP or procurement systems.
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Detail-oriented with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
