Entry Level Roofing Estimator

We are looking for a motivated entry-level Roofing Estimator to join our team. In this role, you will support senior estimators in preparing accurate cost estimates for roofing projects (primarily re-roofing, repairs, or new installations on residential and/or commercial properties). This is a great opportunity to learn the roofing industry from the ground up, develop estimating skills, and grow into a full estimator or sales role.

You will assist with site visits, measurements, material and labor calculations, and bid/proposal preparation.

• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for public and private roofing construction projects
• Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare quantity takeoffs and pricing
• Gather material/labor pricing from suppliers and internal sources.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers, and Superintendents to ensure accurate transition from estimate to execution.
• Maintain accurate records of past estimates and outcomes to improve future pricing.
• Track industry trends, material costs, and labor rates to ensure competitive and realistic bids.
• Participate in value engineering and scope clarification discussions as needed

• High school diploma or GED (associate's/bachelor's in construction management, engineering, or related field a plus).
• No prior commercial roofing estimating experience required; entry-level candidates welcome (0–2 years in construction, roofing, or related fields).
• Strong math skills, attention to detail, and ability to read basic plans/blueprints.
• Comfortable with heights, roof access (ladders, lifts, walking flat/low-slope roofs), and outdoor/site work in various conditions.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Good verbal/written communication for team and client interactions.
• Experience with estimating software (e.g., Blue Beam Revu, Estimating Edge, OST, MS Excel)
