When acting as Captain, file the flight plan with the FSS, obtain weather data, and interpret data to ensure safe flight conditions.

Ensures the performance of the following items, which may be delegated to the First Officer when acting as Captain:

• Making pre‑flight and in‑flight tests to ensure safety of flight.
• Cleaning and stocking aircraft with supplies to maintain ready flight condition.
• Preparing aircraft for departure and securing aircraft at the end of flight.

Assists the Director of Flight Operations in hiring, onboarding, developing, and training new pilots.

Assists the Director of Flight Operations in ensuring that the fleet is maintained, meeting or exceeding FAA and other regulatory regulations, rules, and laws, to ensure the safe and optimal performance of each aircraft.

Assists in selecting, purchasing, and stocking all supplies related to the operation. This includes building maintenance and housekeeping supplies, as well as passenger refreshments and snacks and other comfort items offered both in the terminal building as well as on each of the aircraft. Also, assists in performing housekeeping and replenishing the stocks in the terminal as well as on the aircraft.

When acting as Captain, pilots the aircraft in a safe and passenger‑friendly manner.

Gains and maintains type‑ratings for each aircraft in the fleet.

Ensures overall travel logistics are effectively managed for each flight: EASA International Regulations are met (when applicable), ground transportation is arranged, and accommodations for passengers and the flight team are made. Other details are handled as required.

Performs other duties as assigned.
