Job Overview

Mobile Associates (MA) work as a member of a Retail Team of Experts to bring the T-Mobile brand to life. They are brand ambassadors who build energy and excitement around our products and services. They are passionate about the connected world and thrive in a fast-paced environment where technology innovations, customer needs, and the Retail experience continually evolve. They build significant connections with customers, uncover needs, and educate, demonstrate and recommend device and service solutions.

This role is learning-focused; new associates work with their team to build skills and proficiencies in preparation for the Mobile Expert role. Successful completion of new employee training is required.

Responsibilities
  • Build proficiency in serving and selling to customers while delivering a world-class customer experience and building loyalty. This includes:
    • Helping customers resume their shopping journey online, via Customer Care, or in-store.
    • Exploring customer needs and providing hands-on demonstrations of technology in-store.
    • Side-by-side selling to find personalized solutions beyond devices and service plans, including accessories and IoT devices.
    • Approaching service and sales with composure, integrity and compassion.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with digital tools in interactions and onboarding, including:
    • Showcasing network coverage and fast LTE in the customer’s neighborhood.
    • Explaining how T-Mobile plans and services enable unlimited connectivity.
    • Completing training on in-store experience, new skills, processes, and resources.
    • Staying informed about wireless innovations and store operations between customer interactions.
  • Establish relationships across channels and teams to:
    • Own the customer experience and resolve issues to create a seamless environment.
    • Identify and handoff small business leads.
    • Support team initiatives and foster an inclusive environment.
Education
  • High School Diploma/GED (Required)
Work Experience
  • 6 months of customer service and/or sales experience; retail environment preferred (Required)

  • Competitive drive with the ability to succeed in a fast-paced sales environment. (Required)

Compensation

Hourly Base Pay: $17.50, plus $5.00 per hour training pay. Within the first 90 days, on-the-job training is provided with eligible hourly training pay. Upon promotion to Mobile Expert, eligible for an annual incentive target of $18,000/year (varies with performance and full-time status). All employees are guaranteed to earn $20/hour inclusive of base pay and incentives. All employees are eligible for an Annual Stock Grant.
