Job SummaryThis role is responsible for increasing customer confidence and loyalty by providing courteous and prompt service, consistent operating conditions and a friendly atmosphere.
Essential Responsibilities- Compliance (50%):
Observe customers and check identification for age verification; deny sale of alcohol or tobacco to underage or intoxicated customers; monitor customers to prevent open containers leaving the store. - Customer Excellence (25%):
Provide continuous attention to customers' needs; greet, assist, and thank customers in a prompt, courteous, and friendly manner; offer product suggestions when appropriate. - Operational Excellence (25%):
Stock and rotate department products to ensure freshness and date control; restock and use supply items efficiently to eliminate waste and maintain lowest supply cost; operate department equipment and cashiering equipment accurately, recognizing all forms of tender and providing correct change; keep work area clean, orderly, and free from safety hazards; report faulty equipment and hazards to management.

Required Education

Relevant Experience
- 0‑3 years minimum; no supervisory experience required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Prior TIPS Training required before position start date.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English and follow instructions.
- Authorization to work in the United States or ability to obtain the same.
- Successful completion of a pre‑employment drug test and background check.
- Compliance with all company policies and procedures.
- High standard of integrity and reliability.
- Basic computer skills required to participate in online training.
- Customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced and busy environment.
Retail – General Heavy:
Physical demands include standing or walking on various types of flooring, manual dexterity, repetitive movements, reaching, carrying loads up to specified weights, occasional sitting, balancing, kneeling, crouching, and climbing up to 30 ft. Working conditions may include indoor, outdoor, cold, heating, wet/humid environments. Safety risk factors include twisting back or neck, walking on slippery or cluttered floors, working with hazardous equipment, exposure to loud noise, skin irritants, nuisance dust, fumes, sprays, hazardous cleaning solutions, and other toxins.
Required equipment: cleaning supplies, general office equipment, register, pricing gun, scales, scanner, material handling equipment, etc. Personal protective equipment: goggles, gloves, back brace. Pulling requirement: 250 lbs. Lifting requirement: 50 lbs.
