Position: Locum Tenens CRNA / Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist
Location:
Saint Augustine, FL 32086 — Northeast Florida (Florida locum tenens, CRNA jobs)
Assignment Type: Locum Tenens (temporary / supplemental) — locum CRNA opportunity
Start Date:
February 11, 2026
End Date: December 31, 2027
Duration: 12-week minimum assignments with potential for extension
Shifts per Week: 3; Shift Length: 12-hour days (10-hour shifts available)
Hours per Week: 36
Call: Weekend call rotation every 4–6 weeks (no weekday call)
Charting / EHR: Epic (experience with Epic or similar EHR preferred)
Supervision: 1:4 MD to CRNA ratio
Anesthesia Rooms: 15 operating rooms supporting general, orthopedic, and neuro cases
Qualifications /
Job Requirements
Current registered nurse (RN) license and active CRNA certification (AANA Council on Certification)
Graduation from an accredited nurse anesthesia program
Minimum 1 year of CRNA clinical experience; experience with general, orthopedic, and neuro anesthesia preferred
Ability to obtain and maintain hospital privileges (privileging timeframe ~60 days; emergency privileges available under 30 days)
Familiarity with Epic or similar EHR systems preferred
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive pre-anesthesia assessments and verify informed consent
Explain anesthetic options, risks, and perioperative plans to patients and families
Induce, maintain, and emerge patients from anesthesia for general, orthopedic, and neuro procedures
Monitor patient physiologic status and perform clinical interventions as needed in the operating room
Collaborate closely with supervising anesthesiologists, surgeons, and perioperative teams to deliver safe anesthesia care
Participate in scheduled weekend call rotation to support OR coverage
Document anesthesia care in Epic and adhere to hospital safety and compliance protocols
