Job Description
The Human Resources Work Study will assist members of the Human Resources team with a variety of administrative and operational tasks, providing a comprehensive introduction to the core functions of the HR department. The role requires a high level of professionalism, discretion, and trust. Maintaining confidentiality is essential.
Additional Information:

- Hiring for Fall 2026 semester, starting in April to learn role and responsibilities.
You will gain experience in:
Professional Communication & Customer Service
- Greeting guests and answering phone calls professionally
- Guiding student employees on accurate timekeeping procedures
- Supporting HR staff with daily projects and operational needs
- Assisting in the creation of training materials, ie. manuals, videos, folders
- Updating and maintaining HR department website content
- Handling documents securely, including filing and shredding
- Copying, organizing, and preparing personnel files
- Completing data entry and document preparation
- Prioritizing assignments and managing time effectively
- Helping coordinate HR events such as holiday meals and office decorating
- Contributing to a positive workplace culture through teamwork and adaptability
Professionalism
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding all employee and student data
- Neat, professional appearance appropriate for an office setting
- Friendly and professional demeanor when assisting guests, staff, and peers
- Dependable and punctual; able to work assigned shifts consistently and meet deadlines
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with standard English grammar, spelling, and punctuation
- Proficient typing and general computer skills (Microsoft Office, email, web navigation)
- Ability to sit for extended periods
- Occasionally lift and carry up to 25 lbs
