Overview

The Physician Recruiter is responsible for managing all aspects of the recruitment lifecycle for physicians and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) in high‑growth markets across the UF Health system, supporting the Northeast Florida region. Reporting to the Director of Physician Recruitment, this role partners closely with College of Medicine departments and administrative stakeholders to execute targeted recruitment strategies that support new site development, service line expansion, and long‑term workforce planning.

The position plays a key role in advancing a centralized, data‑driven recruitment model while delivering a high‑touch candidate experience.

This is a hybrid position that will require occasional on‑site presence.

Qualifications

Required

Education:

Bachelor’s degree. Specific coursework:
Bachelor’s degree in a business‑related field such as Human Resources, Marketing, Business Administration.

Licensure/

Certifications:

Certification within Physician & Provider Recruitment required within one (1) year of hire/transfer.

Required Experience: More than three (3+) years’ experience in full‑cycle recruitment.

Preferred Experience:

  • Prefer prior experience recruiting physicians/providers.
  • Prefer strong ability to create and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Prefer demonstrated experience using commonly used computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Prefer experience developing, managing and executing recruitment plans.
  • Prefer experience developing and maintaining reports and metrics related to provider recruitment, identifying trends, and making recommendations.

Necessary

Skills:

  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to interact with a variety of personalities at all levels of the organization.
  • Business acumen/competence: sufficient understanding of the physician recruitment landscape and the ability to elicit credibility with key stakeholders.
