Certification/Licensure Requirements- Florida Paramedic certification in good standing
- Current National Registry certification {if required by state}
- Current certifications CPR: BLS, ACLS, PCC/PALS
- Valid state specific Drivers’ license
- Ventilator certified every three (3) years
- FEMA IS certs: IS-100; IS-200; IS-700; IS-800

Job DescriptionSummary
Primary job is to function as a Paramedic conducting patient care from an ambulance. Time permitting, responsible for daily supervision of the EMS field operations in the absence of senior management. Ensures adequate zone coverage, compliance, and serves as Ameri Pro EMS’ liaison with outside responding agencies and personnel.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Patient Care
- Supervises day-to-day field operation employees in the absence of senior management
- Ensure field employees have the required equipment to perform essential functions
- Serve as liaison for field staff to other departments (Training, CQI, Payroll, Human Resources, Billing, Communication)
- Prepare appropriate reports in the absence of senior management
- Ensure adherence to Ameri Pro EMS’ policies, procedures, guidelines, and standards
- Ensure Patient Care Protocols are adhered to
- Assist Supervisor/Manager in evaluating performance and maintaining attendance records
- Monitor deployment and efficiency of the system; make decisions on IFT, Mutual Aid, and Out of town trips in absence of Senior Management
- Manage day-to-day scheduling needs
- Ensure TEFs are turned into Operations Supervisor
- Deliver RTF paperwork to employees on duty and forward to administrative support
- Ensure daily duties (truck cleaning, station duties, check offs) are performed
- Handle OJIs, complaints, and company-related accidents; initiate investigations as needed
- Complete daily report detailing shift activities
- Lead and train for new employees and students
- Operate within financial and operational plans for cost effectiveness
- Respond to scenes with crews and assume command during Mass Casualty Incidents until relieved
- Attend regular planning meetings
- Other duties as assigned
- Demonstrate ability to lift and move patients safely
Paramedic Job Qualifications
REQUIRED Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years EMS experience preferred
- State-specific Paramedic license in good standing / current NREMT certification if required by state
- Current CPR: BLS, ACLS, PCC/PALS
- Valid state-specific Drivers’ license
- Background check and drug screening
- Strong people skills and ability to collaborate in a team
- Proficient communication in English
- Ventilator certified every three (3) years
- Written and practical exam
- FEMA IS certs: IS-100; IS-200; IS-700; IS-800
- Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as Paramedic or similar medical role
- Additional certifications: AMLS, PHTLS, ATLS
- Technology proficiency
Skills And Abilities
- EMS on-site care knowledge and protocols
- Understanding of local maps and emergency response procedures
- Ability to manage multiple urgent tasks
- Medical terminology comprehension and report writing
- PC and MDT applications proficiency
- Professional representation of Ameri Pro EMS
Regularly use hands, stand, walk; may lift up to 180 pounds routinely and up to 300 pounds with assistance; vision requirements as specified
Working EnvironmentEMS work includes exposure to inclement weather, hazards, stress, and irregular schedule; some meetings may occur outside regular hours
