To protect, promote and improve the health of all people in Florida through integrated state, county, and community efforts.
ResponsibilitiesThis is a responsible environmental health position that conducts activities for programs in the Environmental Public Health (EPH) department.
- Conduct inspections, reviews, and/or investigations based on state and local code for public swimming pools and bathing places.
- Complete activities related to water sampling and testing, including beach water, special projects, and drinking water.
- Conduct inspections, reviews, and/or investigations based on state and local code for additional environmental public health programs as requested.
- Provide support to the EPH front desk as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of basic mathematics.
- Knowledge of general office proceedings.
- Skilled in basic computer usage.
- Skilled in time management.
- Skilled in organizing work.
- Ability to bend, stoop, lift 50 pounds.
- Ability to operate technical equipment.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to read site and floor plans.
- Ability to work outdoors in all conditions.
High school diploma. Valid Florida driver’s license.
