Your Specific Responsibilities:This is a responsible environmental health position that conducts activities for programs in the Environmental Public Health (EPH) department.
Conducts inspections, reviews and/or investigations based on state and local code for:
- Public swimming pools
- Bathing places
Completes activities related to water sampling and testing. This includes but is not limited to:
- Special projects
- Drinking water
Conducts inspections, reviews and/or investigations based on state and local code for additional environmental public health programs as requested.
Provides support to the EPH front desk as needed.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:- Knowledge of basic mathematics
- Knowledge of general office proceedings
- Skilled in basic computer usage
- Skilled in time management
- Skilled in organizing work
- Ability to bend, stoop, lift 50 pounds
- Ability to operate technical equipment
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to read site and floor plans
- Ability to work outdoors in all conditions
High school diploma. Valid Florida driver’s license
