Accounting Manager

A growing construction organization is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager or Co-Controller to support financial operations across active projects. The title and scope can flex based on experience level.

This is a high-impact role for someone who understands the full construction accounting lifecycle and can partner closely with operations to drive accurate job costing and financial visibility.

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including AP, AR, job cost, and general ledger
• Ensure accurate project cost tracking, budgeting, and inter-project adjustments
• Support month-end and year-end close and financial statement preparation
• Partner with project managers to monitor profitability and cost performance
• Strengthen processes, controls, and reporting to support growth
• Assist with forecasting, budgeting, and audit support as needed

• Direct construction industry experience
• Strong AP knowledge including purchase orders, subcontracts, lien releases, insurance, contracts, and change orders
• AR experience including billing and cash receipts
• Deep job costing experience including budgeting, direct cost entries, and job cost to general ledger reconciliation
• Stable work history demonstrating progression and impact

• Work in progress analysis and calculation understanding
• Percentage of completion accounting and gross profit adjustments
• Advanced general ledger ownership
• Strong financial statement preparation and review

• Ability to operate in a fast-paced project environment
• Strong partnership with operations and project teams
• High attention to detail with a process improvement mindset
• Comfort working in a growth-focused construction business
