Reporting to the Coordinator team – purchasing and working in collaboration with the group’s buyers, the Director of Packaging Purchasing, and the production planning team, the position holder is responsible for sourcing the assigned raw materials (ingredients) for all plants to ensure uninterrupted supply to production lines. They respond to the daily needs of the manufacturing plan and ensure smooth operations.
Responsibilities- Prioritize and manage supply issues to ensure adherence to the tight production schedule
- Ensure supply compliance according to negotiated conditions
- Process orders for assigned commodities and follow up accordingly
- Share operational information related to the production plan and notify stakeholders as needed
Support buyers in supplier evaluation - Execute merchandise returns and assist buyers with receiving associated credits
- Keep performance indicators up to date
- Update system parameters (MRP: Material Requirement Planning)
- Control inventory levels and take action in case of surplus/deficit
- Work on process improvement according to prioritized potential impacts
- Lead continuous improvement projects for the procurement process
- DEC or equivalent AEC in a related field
- Good knowledge of manufacturing processes and logistics
- Aptitude for planning and management, as well as strong organizational skills
- Priority management is part of daily activities
- Strong analytical skills
- Communication skills
- Bilingual (English – French)
- Knowledge of the Office suite
- Knowledge of integrated management systems (ERP) is clearly an asset
