St. Andrews, Moncton, Fredericton Salary Range: $33.85 to $52.08 per hour

Responsibilities

You will be collaborating with and reporting to the Academic Chair of Building and Construction, and as a member of the faculty team you will be responsible for the planning and preparation of instructional materials and resources; establishing and managing a positive learning environment; instructing and evaluating students; building and sustaining professional relationships with students, colleagues, community partners, and stakeholders; as well as other related duties.

Specific instructional areas and courses within the program will include the full scope of this trade which may include but are not limited to:

Flow controls and accessories

Air-conditioning, refrigeration

Electrical

Blueprint reading fundamentals

Refrigerants and oils Specialty tools and equipment

Safety

Motors and compressors

Valves and piping

Installations

Trade-related mathematics.

The successful incumbent will be willing and able to integrate technology and active student learning techniques into teaching practices.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

Certificate of Qualification as a Journeyperson (Red Seal) in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.

A minimum of three (3) years of related, recent work experience at the Journeyperson's level.

Preference may be given to candidates who have experience teaching in a post-secondary environment.

Demonstrated ability to work effectively independently and within a team.

A desire for continuous learning and growth.

Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

Other combinations of education and experience may be considered as equivalent. Subject to competition response, the minimum qualifications may be raised.
