Education:

Associates degree required

Job Functions
  • Recruit applicants and assign participants to host agency sites for internships.
  • Supervise and assist staff, meet with host agency supervisors.
  • Build program capacity by developing partnerships with training, employer, and service organizations.
  • Work directly with participants: identify training needs, recognize employment barriers, determine needed support services, and support job search efforts.
  • Handle special projects as assigned.
  • Moderate in-state travel requirement (reimbursed).

Salary: $42,000-$44,000 per year

Qualifications
  • Associates degree required.
  • 3-5 years of work experience, preferably working directly with clients and/or engaging with businesses; non‑profit experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of local workforce trends and employer expectations.
  • Willingness to advocate for mature workers.
  • Great attitude: motivated to make a difference, ready to learn, collaborative, eager to do outreach.
  • Coaching skills: ability to connect honestly and provide positive encouragement to participants and staff; consistent reinforcement.
  • Strong record keeping: detailed records are crucial for this federally regulated grant.
  • Intermediate level proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); file management and online research skills.
  • Authorization to work in the USA required.
  • Desired: knowledge of local labor market and workforce systems; experience working with mature workers, culturally diverse populations, and people with disabilities; bilingual (Spanish).
