Our client is looking for an experienced Senior STP Engineer to develop, optimize, and implement daily, weekly, and monthly mine plans for their open‑pit mining operation—translating long‑term strategic goals into safe, efficient, cost‑effective extraction of ore and waste while managing geological/geotechnical constraints and collaborating with mine operations, processing, geology, and other technical teams to maximize production and hit key performance indicators.
It’s a hands‑on senior role driving short‑term planning and operational excellence across mining activities, perfect if you enjoy turning strategic targets into actionable plans, optimizing extraction, and collaborating cross‑functionally in responsible open‑pit mining. Interested? Let me know!
Requirements- Bachelor’s degree in mining engineering or a related field (e.g., Geological Engineering).
- Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in mine planning for open‑pit operations, with a strong focus on short‑term planning and ore control.
- Proficiency in using mine planning software packages (Minesight, Deswik, or similar).
- Strong understanding of open‑pit mining methods, equipment capabilities, and operational processes.
- Solid understanding of geological principles, geotechnical considerations, and their impact on mine planning.
- Demonstrated ability to develop practical, safe, and cost‑effective mine plans.
