Our client is looking for an experienced Sr. Environmental Scientist to lead environmental compliance for a copper mining project in construction and operations—developing SOPs/BMPs, ensuring adherence to regs (CWA, CAA, RCRA, NPDES, etc.), coordinating monitoring/emissions/waste, supervising water/soil programs, conducting inspections/audits, analyzing data/reporting, providing technical guidance/mentorship, delivering training, and managing compliance projects/agency relations.

Requirements- Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science or Engineering, Biology, Chemistry, Geology, Hydrology, Forestry, Environmental/Natural Resource Management or other related degree.
- Minimum of 5 years environmental compliance experience, preferably at a mining or industrial manufacturing operation.
- Experience planning, assigning and supervising work for employees or contractors.
- Experience with MS Office (Excel, Word, etc.), geoportal and compliance tracking software preferred.
- Possess or willingness to obtain training, certification or licensure appropriate to the job may include HAZWOPER, Method 9, DOT, EMS Auditor, Asbestos, Water Treatment Operator, or CHMM.
