Could you be our Accounting Manager – North America in Saint-Bruno (QC)?
Your future roleManage accounting operations for the NAM region, ensuring compliance with IFRS standards and internal policies, while supporting financial reporting processes. This role involves supervising local accounting teams and coordinating with central functions to guarantee the quality and reliability of financial data. We’ll look to you for:
- Operational Accounting Management:
Supervise general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and monthly closing activities in coordination with shared financial service centers. - Financial Reporting:
Prepare and validate local financial statements for Canadian and U.S. entities and contribute to consolidated reporting. - Complex Transactions:
Analyze complex operations and propose appropriate accounting treatments in line with standards (e.g., foreign exchange hedging, joint ventures). - Internal Control:
Ensure compliance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements. - Audit Support:
Collaborate with internal and external auditors to guarantee compliance. - Continuous Process Improvement:
Identify and implement actions to optimize accounting process efficiency. - Team Leadership:
Train and support local accountants, fostering skill development. - Regional Interface:
Work closely with all Finance teams in the region—FP&A, Treasury, Tax, Product Line Controlling—and represent the region in cross-functional committees with Group headquarters.
- Degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- Proven experience in accounting and reporting within an international environment.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS standards and ERP systems (SAP preferred).
- Leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Fluency in French and English; knowledge of an additional language is an asset for interactions with international partners, suppliers, colleagues, and clients. In Québec, French remains the primary working language of the company.
