Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your software engineering and leadership expertise in a new cutting‑edge field. You’ll work alongside innovative and collaborative teammates.
You'll play a pivotal role in designing and delivering high-performance engineering solutions that drive operational excellence in railway systems. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (System Engineers, Software Architects, Developers, Testers), manage and grow a talented team, ensure compliance with engineering standards, and support business development initiatives by offering tailored solutions to meet customer needs, and much more.

Responsibilities
  • Leading the software design cycle, ensuring requirements analysis, design, development, and acceptance testing are completed with a high level of quality and performance,
  • Coordinating resource workload through rigorous task planning to achieve on-time deliveries within budget commitments,
  • Defining resource needs, selecting and hiring new team members, and providing training to support their growth,
  • Defining outsourcing needs, scoping work, and following up on external work execution,
  • Reporting task progress, issues, and KPIs, including accurate schedules and workload forecasts,
  • Developing, managing, and maintaining test lab environments to fully verify software packages prior to vehicle testing,
  • Building collaborative relationships across engineering functions to ensure solutions are compliant and fully integrated,
  • Applying software design processes, methodologies, and tools to ensure efficiency and domain excellence within project execution,
  • Challenging project peers, driving process improvements, and promoting optimization and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science, or equivalent,
  • Experience or understanding of leading a technical team in software development and deployment projects,
  • Knowledge of Windows-based IT solutions, including Microsoft Windows administration, IIS, and .NET framework,
  • Familiarity with SQL database design and debugging using SQL Server tools,
  • Fluent communication skills in English and French,
  • Strong project and people management skills,
  • Knowledge of networking and security of computer systems, including Ethernet (IPv4), firewall, and VPN,
  • Familiarity with VMWare configuration,
  • Experience in business development and commercial strategy, including preparing commercial proposals and managing change,
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Power Shell.
