Retail Assistant Store Manager

We are currently looking for the right retail assistant store manager to join our team! $13.00 to $19.00 per hour with an easy commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process. Our retail sales associates can earn up to 8% on transactions, which could average an additional $12.31 per hour on top of your hourly rate.

Position Summary

We are seeking an assistant store manager with a minimum of six months of management/3rd key experience. Assistant store managers are accountable for the day‑to‑day operations of the store and promoting a positive/productive environment. This position will partner with the store manager to lead and develop store employees, recruit and retain top talent, maximize financial goals, and manage customer relations/satisfaction. This position sets the tone for a customer‑centric environment.

Alongside the store manager, this position analyzes store financial statements to ensure financial goals are met. You will commit to the company’s asset protection program, promote our business, and target new customer acquisitions. All employees work with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations) and more.

This position offers an hourly wage, plus assistant store managers earn commission based on productivity and a bonus based on store performance. Actual pay will be based on work location, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate a customer‑centric environment by engaging customers in a friendly and professional manner and rapidly addressing customer issues.
  • Monitor and assist in the training of pawnbrokers to ensure development meets First Cash standards.
  • Recruit top talent by sourcing candidates through company‑prescribed channels.
  • Open and close the store, count cash drawers/merchandise, and ensure all procedures protect assets.
  • Ensure asset protection through inventory control, property safety procedures, documentation, and securing customer loans.
  • Administer store processes such as inventory, loan management, merchandising, store presentation, store systems, and enterprise‑level reporting.
  • Evaluate the store’s financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal setting.
  • Keep operating standards meeting or exceeding First Cash standards.
  • Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to ensure the value and integrity of loans issued.
  • Complete assigned tasks and training for self‑development as requested.
  • Communicate clearly with employees to ensure they understand the store’s mission and profit objectives.
  • Stay up‑to‑date on product knowledge.
  • Act as manager on duty in the absence of the store manager.
