Position Overview
Store Manager Trainee to join our team. This role is designed for external retail assistant managers and store managers interested in fast-tracking into a Store Management position. This role requires a minimum of 1 year retail management experience. Pay rate: $17.00 to $25.00 per hour.

We are seeking a Store Manager Trainee with a minimum of six months of Store Management experience. A Store Manager Trainee is accountable for day-to-day store operations, promoting a positive environment, developing
Store employees, recruiting and retaining talent, maximizing financial goals, and managing customer relations/satisfaction. The position partners with the Store Manager to lead the team and set the store’s tone for a customer-centric environment.
Responsibilities include analyzing store financial statements to meet goals, supporting asset protection, promoting the business, and targeting new customer acquisitions. Employees work with a variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more. This position offers an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity and a bonus based on store performance. Actual pay varies by location, qualifications, and experience.
Responsibilitiesof a Store Management Trainee
- Foster a customer-centric environment and address customer issues promptly.
- Assist in training Pawnbrokers to meet First Cash standards.
- Recruit top talent through company channels.
- Open/close the store, manage cash drawers, and protect assets.
- Ensure asset protection through inventory control and procedures.
- Administer store processes including inventory, loan management, merchandising, store systems, and reporting.
- Evaluate financial statements and drive profitability with clear goals.
- Maintain operating standards per First Cash expectations.
- Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to preserve value and integrity.
- Complete assigned tasks and participate in self-development training.
- Communicate store mission and profit objectives to employees.
- Maintain product knowledge and serve as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds; capable of extended periods of standing, walking, and other physical tasks in accordance with laws.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise others; ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
- Store Manager Trainee will work 45+ hours per week; hours vary by business needs.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience; multi-location work flexibility; POS and office equipment proficiency.
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Cash handling experience required; strong work ethic and business sense.

Commission Plan Information:
The commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Store Manager Trainees have the potential to earn 2-8% commission based on gross profit of personal performance. Details are provided during the interview process. Arbitration may be required for disputes. Payrates will not be below applicable local minimum wage requirements. Earned Wage Access is provided by Net Spend with applicable restrictions and fees.
