Wound Nurse - Treatment Nurse LVN / LPN The Job

The purpose of this position is to supervise, provide and coordinate nursing care in compliance with Community policies and procedures and to assess residents' care needs and take appropriate action.

• Assesses our residents skin status and provides wound care treatments per protocols
• Supervise and assess resident care and take appropriate action
  
  Provide education to direct care staff on skin care and wound care protocols
• Works collaboratively with attending physicians and Wound Care physicians
• Implement Community procedures to provide resident care.
• As part of the management team, participates in on call rotation

• Must have a current and valid LVN nursing license or a current and valid LVN license from a Compact Party State.
• Experience in Long Term Care or Skilled Nursing a Plus. Healthcare experience (Skilled Nursing) is a must
• Certified Wound Care/ Treatment Nurse A PLUS - After specific time of employment will provide the certification
