Industrial Sales Manager – Water & Wastewater
Full‑time, salary‑exempt. 45‑55 hours per week with up to 75% travel. 4‑8 visits to headquarters each year.
Location:
Saginaw, MI.
- Manage and motivate an independent sales representative network, building strong, lasting relationships.
- Set territory sales goals in partnership with representatives, and support those goals through regional shows, engineering firm visits, industrial site tours, and mobile showroom visits.
- Maintain a book of business, provide feedback to internal departments, and report progress via the CRM (ACT!).
- Generate sales through customer and representative support, supplying materials, training, services, and data.
- Become an expert on company products and services, serving on committees and advisory boards as a technology/market expert.
- Plan and manage travel & reservations within budget; coordinate with corporate meeting schedule.
- Present information effectively to consultants, contractors, and site owners, tailoring content to audience needs.
- Gather and communicate field feedback to internal teams, identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Participate in National Sales Meeting, Rep Council, Quarterly Sales & Marketing meetings, and Corporate Training as required.
- Use Microsoft Teams or phone during travel to attend meetings and huddles.
- Review and provide feedback on marketing materials, trade‑show development, and promotional content.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration, or proven experience in related fields.
- Experience selling to industrial water & wastewater markets.
- Experience giving presentations to consultants, contractors, and site owners.
- Experience managing territory forecasts and budgets.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Proficiency in reading mechanical blueprints.
- Preferred:
International sales experience. - Preferred:
Construction experience and knowledge of hydraulics, chemistry, metallurgy, and industrial controls. - Preferred:
Small‑business experience.
- Professionalism, integrity, and ability to represent the company well.
- Excellent presentation skills with adaptability to audience.

- Mechanical aptitude and strong conceptual skills.
- Excellent multitasking and prioritization abilities.

- Self‑initiated, independent, good problem‑solving, and teamwork; excellent time‑management.
- Fiscal responsibility when planning trips or events.
- Strongly preferred:
Bilingual or fluent in Spanish.
- Headquarters in Saginaw, MI; drug‑free, non‑smoking environment.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record required.
- Daily use of computer/tablet and phone, sitting or standing during travel and meetings.
- Exposure to varying outdoor environments, weather, and temperatures at wastewater treatment, industrial process, and hydroelectric plants.
- Potential stair climbing, walking long distances, wet/damp conditions, and exposure to strong odors.
- No mandatory COVID‑19 immunizations; may be required by customers or for travel/entry to certain countries.
- Professional attire and good hygiene.
- High level of personal integrity, ownership, and drive to contribute to company vision.
- Physical readiness for computer work up to 8 hours/day, travel, and site conditions as described.
