• Cashier/Checker is responsible for being visible and actively greeting, engaging and assisting customers.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently using the POS system, handling various tenders such as Cash, Checks, Credit, Debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, Rain checks, coupons, and loyalty offers.
• Understand and adhere to company policies on cash limits, restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs), and report discrepancies.
• Follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons, and stay current with ads.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and safety procedures, report unsafe conditions, and perform equipment inspections.
• Create a welcoming environment, assist customers with product questions, and comply with all laws and guidelines.
• Work effectively in high-paced, stressful environments, manage conflicts, act with honesty and integrity, and support diverse customer needs.
• Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.

• Customer service experience
• Effective communication skills
• Basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction)
