Guest Advocate (Cashier), General Merchandise, Fulfillment, Food and Beverage, Style (T0347)

Position type:
On-Demand, part-time. Scheduling varies based on shift availability and store needs. You can pick up shifts via the myTime mobile scheduling app. Attendance and responsiveness are essential. If offered a position, you will attend Target Welcome orientation and follow a short-term training schedule before using the myTime app to select shifts.

• Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard.
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests and assisting with their needs.
• Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the total store to solve issues and improve the guest experience.
• Assist with order pickup (OPU), drive-up (DU) orders, and registry guests; maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Stock supplies during store hours and assist with cash register operations as needed.
• Explain and enroll guests in Target Loyalty programs and fulfill related services; assist with app features such as Wallet and Target App usage.
• Process returns according to Target policies and assist with de-escalation when necessary, partnering with leaders as needed.
• Maintain compliance with safety policies and participate in training; report hazards as appropriate.
• Support cash office processes as needed and collaborate with team members to meet store needs.
• Other duties based on business needs.

• You enjoy interacting with guests and helping others, including fellow team members.
• You thrive in a fast-moving, active environment with teamwork, flexibility, and problem solving.
• You are open to a flexible schedule with varying hours, days, or shifts (including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak times).

• Effective communication and a welcoming, helpful attitude toward guests and teammates.
• Ability to stay focused and multi-task in a fast-paced environment; use handheld scanners and other technology as directed.
• Attention to detail and the ability to educate guests about products and services.
• Ability to handle cash register operations and support cash office as needed.
• Willingness to work independently and as part of a team; flexibility to lift up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 44 pounds occasionally.
• Capable of adapting to varying temperatures and store conditions during duties such as Drive-Up, carryout, etc.
