DISTRICT OVERVIEW:

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Under the direct supervision of the Site Supervisor, this position provides kitchen support for a variety of tasks related to kitchen production and food service responsibilities. This position does not include supervisory responsibilities.

Shift: Minimum 3.0 hours/day on an "on call" basis

Compensation: $13.50 per hour

Qualifications:

• High school graduate or GED
• Ability to work cooperatively with all employees, students and parents
• Punctual and must have an excellent attendance record
• Good organizational skills
• Knowledge of Health Department Regulations for food safety and sanitation
• Must be capable of passing agility testing and basic physical
• Ability to bend, twist, reach and lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis along with walking, bending and standing for long periods of time and other physical requirements of the job
• Ability to push and/or pull loaded carts
• Ability to work quickly and accurately under tight time schedules
• Must have pleasant demeanor with children and young adults
• Ability to take direction from others and follow instruction
• Willing to work in any of the schools serviced by STCS Nutrition Services

Major Responsibilities:

• Assist and/or operate all kitchen equipment as needed
• Assist with food preparation when assigned
• Serve during lunch periods
• Capable of completing all general kitchen duties efficiently-preparation, meal service, clean up, washing pots and pans, washing dishes and putting stock away
• Any other duties which may be assigned
