Reports to: CNA Supervisor / Director of Nursing (DON)

Position Type: Full-Time, Day Shift | Hourly

Wellspring Lutheran Services is a statewide nonprofit dedicated to serving seniors, families and children throughout Michigan. We are currently seeking a part-time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our Covenant Skilled Nursing and Rehab at Wellspring team in Saginaw.

• Provide individualized attention to encourage each resident's independence and overall well-being.
• Follow and support the resident’s individualized care plan; provide observations and input to care planning staff.
• Maintain resident comfort, privacy, and dignity; interact with residents in a warm, Christ-centered manner.
• Abide by all residents' rights, including being free of restraints and abuse; promptly report any concerns to charge nurse or administration.
• Protect residents’ personal belongings and report missing items according to policy.
• Assist residents with grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, toileting, colostomy care, prosthetic appliances, transferring, ambulation, range of motion, and other ADLs.
• Maintain skin integrity to prevent pressure ulcers, skin tears, and other damage.
• Respond to resident call lights promptly and courteously.
• Perform tasks assigned by supervisors including preparing residents for visits, collecting vitals, weights, specimens, and reporting resident information.
• Lift, move, and transport residents using proper body mechanics or lifting devices.
• Work past normal shift hours as needed to assure resident care and safety coverage.

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in good standing with the State of Michigan (required).
• Experience with seniors in long-term care or rehab preferred.
• Compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented.
• Ability to work night shift, weekends and holidays as scheduled.

• Employment type: Full-time
• Shift: Day Shift, 12-hour shifts (6:00pm – 6:00am)
• Weekends/Holiday: Every 3rd weekend and every 3rd holiday.
• Starting pay: $19.40 - $20.38 / hour, based on experience.
