Director of Nursing – Saginaw, MI

We are seeking a strong, stable and compassionate RN nurse with LTC experience to serve as Director of Nursing at our St. Francis Skill Nursing Facility – an Opalis Healthcare Facility.

• Manages time between overseeing your nursing staff, providing outstanding quality of care to our residents & family members.
• Utilize critical thinking, business savvy with attention to detail performing your management duties.
• Leads the Nursing team from the front and by example, meeting the needs of the patient just like an RN, LPN or CNA.
• Participates and conduct meetings with residents, families, physicians, management and staff.
• Strong working knowledge of State and Federal requirements of skilled nursing facilities.
• Creates and/or monitors variety of reports on hospital discharges, medications, labs, satisfaction, ADLs.
• Utilizes Michigan State Licensed Registered Nurse.
• Responds to residents and family members care and concerns.
• Inspires their team.

• Possess a current, unencumbered, active nursing license to practice in the state of Michigan.
• Previous ADON, nurse manager or nursing supervisory experience; strong geriatric background.
• Knowledgeable in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices.
• Must be a strong team player with proven leadership and supervisory skills.
• Excellent verbal/written English communication skills.
• Possess basic computer knowledge and ability with an aptitude to learn company software.
• Meet all local health regulations, pass post-offer drug test, and pass post-employment physical exam. This requirement also includes criminal background investigation and reference inquiry.
