Position Summary OR Registered Nurse responsible for assessing patient needs before and during surgical procedures while maintaining patient safety. Develops, implements, evaluates, and documents individualized perioperative care plans. Provides leadership to the OR team and communicates effectively with patients, families, physicians, and ancillary departments. Participates in staff development and continuing education.
Key Responsibilities
• 40% – Assess surgical patients, develop and implement individualized plans of care, and adjust as needed to ensure patient safety.
• 30% – Supervise room activity, anticipate and coordinate schedule changes, assemble equipment and supplies, assist anesthesia, and monitor the sterile field.
• 20% – Communicate with patient, family, physicians, OR team, leadership, and ancillary departments.
• 10% – Participate in staff development through in-services, educational meetings, and leadership growth opportunities.
