RN - PCU

Nights 12 hours 7 PM - 7:15 AM (12 Hour Nights) / 36 Hour Guarantee

The Registered Nurse provides direct care to patients using the nursing process, which includes ongoing assessment of the total patient. The RN provides interventions to treat presenting symptoms and evaluates the effectiveness of nursing interventions and the patient's responses. The RN functions as a team leader/member and a resource to others, delegates, oversees, and provides direction to support staff, and collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to establish goals and outcomes for each patient.

• Regularly assesses patient needs and provides skilled nursing services as prescribed by the physician authorized plan of care and accepted standards of evidence-based nursing practice.
• Provides direct patient care including medication administration, treatments, education, call lights, assisting with transfers, and responding to alarms.
• Evaluates the effectiveness of the treatment plan and makes suggestions or participates in updating/revising the treatment plan in collaboration with other team members.
• Knowledgeable and compliant with all local, state and federal regulations and guidelines, as well as hospital-specific policies and procedures relating to care provided in the medical center.

• 2+ years of experience - Required
• BLS (AHA) - Required
• ACLS (AHA) - Required
• NIHSS - Required
• Recent traveler experience - Highly preferred
